Formula Electric

Breaking ground this year, Formula Electric is the newest SAE @ UIC team! Focused in adapting current gas powered Formula platforms to all electric propulsion systems, this branch is driving the way to the future of open-wheel racing. This new car will require research, design, and manufacturing unlike any previous SAE @ UIC project. The finished product will need to perform without fail on the track and prove to design judges that our vehicle is the best.

Formula E is looking for members to continue the launch of its newest racecar. Become part of the team and begin CAD design projects, then see your virtual build as it materializes in the shop and drives down the road! This team is perfect for electrical and computer science majors, but anyone is welcome no matter what your degree.
